2 New Giveaways!

It’s getting closer to Christmas, so that means all the giveaways start pouring in. These two giveaways are ones that I have really enjoyed and I am going to share or re-gift them to my family.

The first giveaway is only open for another day!

I was able to receive a copy of Mrs. Oswald Chambers, a biography about Oswald Chamber’s wife who is the one who actually took all her shorthand notes and compiled the devotional, My Utmost for His Highest.

I am absolutely loving reading this book. As a woman, I love to read about other women who helped their men do great things for God.

You can read more about the biography and enter to win it HERE.

The second giveaway just went live on Tuesday and is open for another week.

On Tuesday, I shared the cookbook, Stock the Crock. It shares over 100 crockpot recipes that has over 200 variations for those recipes to help many of them become gluten-free or vegan or other variations for health needs or lifestyles. It is a well-done cookbook with wonderful pictures and easy recipes.
You can read more about the cookbook and enter the giveaway HERE.

I have two more books waiting for me to review and offer as giveaways, so watch out for these emails! In other news, I have continued to share my regular posts, and I have switched my site over to , a secure website. I do not sell anything on my website; but Google still wanted site owners to make the switch, so I complied.

Thanks for reading and visiting Creative K Kids!

Here are some of the parties that run weekly on Creative K Kids!

Did Jesus Possess Faith and Hope?

Mark Jones

Being fully human, Christ had the ability to grow in his graces: “And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man” (Luke 2:52). We receive various graces from Christ, such as faith, hope, and love, because he possessed these graces preeminently in himself.

Putting Emotions in Their Place

Carolyn Mahaney and Nicole Mahaney Whitacre

The good news is: through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God erases the guilt of our rebellious emotions, empowers us to resist the temptation to sinful emotions, and enables us to express godly emotions (2 Cor. 5:17).

Why the Christian Faith Is Fundamentally . . . Uncomfortable

Brett McCracken

We believe that Jesus died on the cross, and he calls us to follow in that cruciform path and posture as we die to ourselves. That’s where life is. You die to yourself so you can have new life. Deny yourself, he says. Take up your cross and follow me. These are uncomfortable realities.

Two Decades of Fellowship with the U’wa People of Colombia

"The power of our struggle and resistance in defense of our worldview … has guaranteed that we have not faltered."
– Aura Tegría, U’wa representative and lawyer

We are extremely proud to have accompanied Colombia's U'wa people for twenty years.

Last month, our friend and ally Aura Tegría traveled from her home in U'wa territory of the cloud forests of Colombia on a multi-city tour in the U.S. Aura brought with her the U'wa message of respect for Mother Earth and generational fight as indigenous peoples to protect her lands from oil drilling and other resource extraction.

As Aura related in her speech to our Amplify gala: "According to our beliefs, the world is a house that is held up by four fundamental pillars, each of which plays a vital role for the survival of the natural world. It is necessary for us to teach this message to our non-indigenous brothers and sisters. This way their hearts and mindsets – full of greed – will change and not continue harming our Mother Earth. Once the blood of Mother Earth [oil], disappears, there will not be enough money to buy back the life of nature, there won't be any way to bring back the natural harmony, nor for a world to exist in no matter how much money humankind has."
