** WHY IS THE DIRECT APPEAL SO IMPORTANT? (ps321.us9.list-manage.com/track/click?u=36dfc8a92727b03d873a6bd1a&id=0aebdd7bd6&e=c7d38fbfd6) ————————————————————
Your donations to our annual fund directly impact your child’s daily experience at PS 321. Without your Direct Appeal contributions, the PTA would need to cut its spending in half. That means more kids per class and fewer resources and enrichment opportunities for kids and teachers. We are aiming for 100% participation, so please give what you can, whether that means more or less than the $800 per student that the PTA will spend this year. All contributions help! Make your contribution today by clicking HERE (ps321.us9.list-manage.com/track/click?u=36dfc8a92727b03d873a6bd1a&id=03e8650b6e&e=c7d38fbfd6) for a one-time or monthly donation or drop your donation in the main office. Thank you! Have questions about the Appeal? Email [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) .

Did you know that despite several years of sharing deep concerns about the quality of the ELA tests, teachers are still not allowed to read the tests that are administered to students? Did you know that PS 321’s SLT wrote in a letter to the NYSED Commissioner and NYS Board of Regents Chancellor, “we continue to be horrified that this is how children are being assessed as readers and writers”? You can read the rest of the SLT’s letter here (ps321.us9.list-manage.com/track/click?u=36dfc8a92727b03d873a6bd1a&id=61e29f3b8f&e=c7d38fbfd6) . If a child has parents living in more than one household, the non-custodial parent can now get their own code to access their child’s NYC Schools Account. Please email Deb Orr (mailto:[email protected]) , the Parent Coordinator – she can help you obtain access, or if you are the custodial parent, invite the non-custodial parent to view the account separately. Results for the 2017 State ELA/Math tests, as well as grade and attendance information, are all viewable on your child’s account. To set up your account, email Deb Orr (mailto:[email protected]) and let her know you’ll be stopping by the PTA office to pick up your Account Creation Code.
